EVERYONE IN THE POOL! LOL
I’m still playing with the My Monthly Hero kit from Hero Arts, and I had an absolute blast making this one! There are so many tiny little dies to mix and match to create the cutest summer floaties and poolside accessories. My favorite has to be the rubber ducky, of course, haha….although those adorable little flip-flops are definitely a close second.
What I love most about this collection is how customizable it is. You can arrange all the pieces in so many different ways to create your own fun summer scene, and there are tons of little details included to play with too.
Keep scrolling and I’ll show you exactly how I made this one!

Products used for today’s Soaking Up the Fun Rubber Ducky Card:
- Hero Arts June: My Monthly Hero
- Hello Summer Stamp and Cut
- Pool Party
- Fun Floats
- Reflection Layering Stencil

How to create today’s Card:
Create the Card Base:
Start by trimming a panel of Seaside cardstock to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and attach it to the front of a white, top-folding A2-sized card base.
Next, trim a panel of white cardstock to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and stencil it using the Reflection Layering Stencil. Ink blend the layers with Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks: Seafoam, Surf and Ocean to create the shimmering pool water effect.
Once the ink is dry, die cut the panel using the swimming pool die. Then, die cut the pool border from Fog cardstock and glue it around the edge of the pool.
Attach the pool to the card front on a slight angle for a playful summer look.
Place the card into your Misti and stamp the sentiment in black in.
Die Cut the Art Pieces:
Die cut all the pieces you’d like floating in your pool scene. This is another great scrap bin project since many of the dies are small and perfect for using up leftover cardstock pieces.

Assemble the Card:
Use foam tape to attach all the floaties and pool accessories to the swimming pool. Popping them up with dimension makes them look like they are floating right on top of the water.
Finish the card by adding the flip-flops and beach ball down the right side under the sentiment, and adhere the umbrella near the top of the pool scene.
