Spellbinders Cozy Toes Slippers Card

Welcome back, friends.  Today, I’m sharing the Spellbinders Cozy Toes Slippers Card.  This is created with the New October Large Die of the Month Club Kit from Spellbinders.  As today is the 6th, the clubs are open for purchase, and you don’t want to miss this month; they are fabulous!  I started with the Cozy Toes Slippers Dies because it reminded me of my own Christmas as a kid; my mom used to buy us funny slippers.  It was so much fun to see what we got each year, although some of them were kind of hard to walk in, haha

Creating these cards are a great way to use up scraps of pattern paper you have in your stash.  I happened to grab the Rosie’s Studio Oh Joyful Day pad, as it was still on my desk from making these cards.  But I’m going to go back through some papers and find more, as the die set also includes reindeer and Santa slippers.

How to create the Spellbinders Cozy Toes Slippers Card.

Start by cutting pattern paper 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and attaching to a white A2 sized card base.  4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″.

Next, pick your pattern paper for the pajamas, this will determine the colors you use for the slippers.  Die cut two legs.

Then, choose which pattern you want for the slippers face, and what color you want the background sock part of the slipper.  Die cut all the pieces and glue the layers together.  The very top piece of the sock part, is the skin showing through between the pajamas and the socks.  I used Lagoon, Beeswax and Waterfall for the cardstock to coordinate with my leg paper.

Finally, mount them to the front of your card.  as you can see, they are quite large and take up most of the space.  I started with the pants, and then tucked the top of the slipper part, just under.

The reason I ask for that specific info is the system that tracks the sales only gives us a dollar amount and company name, we do not know who made the sale.

  1. Hi Sandi – Very cute. My question is: Is this a “putsy”? Meaning, would most people have the patience to glue the little pieces together given the final result?
    Thanks for the inspirations.
