Spellbinders Fluted Classics

Hi cardmaking friends and welcome back. Today I’m playing with the New, Spellbinders Fluted Classics Dies. They come in 4 shapes, rectangles, ovals, squares and circles. These Spellbinders border dies add the perfect frame around your pretty art work.

The dies are stacking, with additional square cut outs so that you can be layered, cut out frames, etc. The beautiful fluted border adds so much detail to the edge of a card – it’s just elegant.

Usually I create clean and simple cards, well, I was watching a movie when I started this card and I got a bit carried away die cutting and adding elements, LOL. Not my normal CAS card,(clean and simple) but I do like it, I hope you do too.

How to create the Spellbinders Fluted Classics Card:

Cut the two larger fluted squares out of kraft and white cardstock and layer them. Use the smaller square die to cut out an additional kraft piece for the center.

Attach them to a top folding White card base 4-1/4 square

Die cut the flowers and large leaf using the Handing You a Smile Die set and the foliage using the Christmas Blooms Die Set.

Next, color the foliage with copic markers: YG01, YG25, YG67 and BG57. Cover them with Nuvo Glitter Gloss for some winter frost and

Create the Sentiment:

Foil and die cut the sentiment using gold foil and Yana’s Christmas Sentiments glimmer and die set.

Use Bearly White Glue and foam squares to attach all the elements to the card front except the sentiment.

Splatter with white paint, and once the paint is dry, add the sentiment.

Finally, embellish with Color Essentials Gems – Crystal Mix.

I also had some die cut snowflakes sitting on my work table, so I added 3 of them to the mix. (they are cut with Picket Fence Studios
