Spellbinders Holiday 3D Embossing Folders

Hi cardmaking friends and welcome back.  Today I’m up on the SPELLBINDERS BLOG creating with the NEW and oh so fabulous Spellbinders Holiday 3D Embossing Folders.  There are two beautiful new embossing folders just in time for your holiday creating.

The Scenic Poinsettia and the Essential Diamond.  Both are the new 5.50 x 8.50 versatile 3D Embossing Folders which can be used to create various sizes from A2, 5 x 7, up to a full sized slimline.  For the most detailed impression, lightly mist the cardstock on both sides with water before embossing.

Embossing folders are fabulous for adding great detail to the background of your card fronts.  They are also versatile for so many stamping techniques.  You can add ink before or after you emboss.  You can color the embossed images and you can heat emboss the raised image, just to name a few.

Spellbinders Holiday 3D Embossing Folders Card #1:

I love a good SLIMLINE CARD and this one starts with the NEW Scenic Poinsettia Embossing Folder with a white embossed raised image on Waterfall cardstock.

I added some fancy circle die cuts with the Fluted Classic Circles to frame the Christmas Sentiments greeting.

Around that, a pretty collection of matching poinsettia die cuts created with the Holiday Blooms Die set.

Spellbinders Holiday 3D Embossing Folders Card #2.

I went with traditional holiday colors for the second A2 sized card this time using stunning NEW Dimensional Diamonds Embossing Folder.

Next use the Essential Arches die set to die cut one solid arch in Mirror Gold and one slightly bigger outline piece also in the gold mirror.

Finally, use the Holiday Blooms Die set to cut the foliage for the art pieces gluing them down the left side of the card.

The Pink and Black card:

Also created with the beautiful Dimensional Diamonds Embossing Folder.

This time the Essential Diamonds Etched Dies are used to create two diamonds for the card center.  This mirrors the beautiful, embossed diamond design in the background.

Then, use the Holiday Blooms Die set to cut out the pink poinsettias and gold leaves and spray.

  1. Really pretty holiday cards. I tend to like the traditional red/green/gold color palette, however I am really liking the pink/black card and the one in aqua and white. They are gorgeous!

  2. Super Fantastic cards, Sandi!
    Love the colors you chose.
Those poinsettias are wonderful with the embossed detail.
    Thanks for your inspiration.

  3. Your cards are stunning Sandi. I’m not really a fan of black backgrounds but your pink and black card really appeals to me. Thank you for sharing.

  4. Oh Sandi! They are also absolutely gorgeous! I can’t seem to come up with a favorite! I am leaning towards the non-traditional colors, the black one is striking, the aqua one, I love the white of the embrossing! It’s a win, win for the receivers!💜🤗
