Spellbinders July Embossing Folder Club Cards

Hi card making friends.  Today I’m sharing the Spellbinders July Embossing Folder Club cards.  Both folders this month follow the Christmas Theme and are each stunning in their own right.  The Pine Cones and Berries 3D embossing folder is full of foliage images, while the Hexi Snowflake has a sharp crisp line drawn image.  Both are beautiful and I have a card for each today.

The color palette for today is Distress Oxide Inks in Broken China and Evergreen Bough for the backgrounds with pops of Phone Booth Red cardstock.  I love this color combo for Christmas, it’s a bit different but still Christmassy.

Spellbinders July Embossing Folder Club Cards – Card #1

Start with a piece of Hammermill white cardstock 4 x 5-1/4″ and emboss it with the Pine Cones and Berries 3D embossing Folder.

Next, using blending brushes, add Broken China and Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide ink, then splatter with white paint.  Attach to a top folding A2 sized white card base 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″.

Then, die cut the foliage and flowers using the Small Die of the Month Club, Skating Into the Holidays using Mint, Waterfall, Phone Booth and Blue Spruce card stock.

Finally, use the Clear Stamp and Die Set of the month Christmas Magic Sentiments and gold heat emboss the sentiment on Red Phone Booth cardstock.  Die cut with the coordinating die set and add to the center of the card.

Embellish the white berries and flower centers with Crystal Stickles for a bit of glimmer and shine.

Start with a piece of waterfall cardstock 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and emboss with the Hexi Snowflake Embossing Folder.

Next, darken the edges by ink blending Broken China Distress Oxide Ink.

Then, die cut the Stitched Club of the Month, All Wrapped Up in Phone Booth Red cardstock.  Stitch each piece with the Gold DMC thread with a large head needle from Spellbinders.

Attach to the front of the card with foam squares and then attach a gold embossed sentiment on white cardstock.
