Hi cardmaking friends and welcome back. As promised, I have round #2 of Spellbinders Sketched Florals and Frame card. This is the December Small Die of the Month kit. On my first card, I didn’t use the frame and I promised I would circle back and do that, so here you go.
As far as I’m concerned, this loopy frame is the star of the show, although I really love the floral dies in this months kit, just in case you haven’t noticed that yet, haha.
For today’s card I cut the frame out twice. Once in gold and once in black so that I could layer them, slightly offset to create more interest and a shadow effect on the frame. I put the gold one underneath hoping it would be a bit easier to photograph, haha…..gold shiny things and photos give you gray hair – just saying. LOL.
How to create the Spellbinders Sketched Florals and Frame Card:
Use the Simply Perfect Florets embossing folder to emboss the card front before attaching it to the card base
Next, stack the frames and use the Bearly Art Glue to attach them to the card front
Die cut the floral pieces from mirror gold and white card stock.
Use a small blending brush to add a bit of Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink to the white flower bases before gluing the overlay down
Finally, use small pieces of scotch tape on the back of the leaf die cuts to hold the middle pieces on place.
Creating the Sentiment.
Use this months Glimmer of the Month Kit to glimmer foil the larger of the two sentiments using Polished Brass glimmer foil
Visit my How to use the Glimmer Hot Foil Machine page for more information on Foiling.
Die cut the sentiment and attach it to the center of the card with foam squares.
There are many different kits available each month from Spellbinders and you can order them from the 1 – 24th of each month.
I created another card the other day using the Spellbinders December Small Die of the Month Kit – you can view it here:
