Spellbinders Stitched Ladybug Card

I know I’m a little early for this, but I needed a card for Chinese New Year.  When I saw the Stitching Club for January, I knew it would be a Spellbinders Stitched Ladybug card.  Ok, I’m pretty sure there is no Year of the Ladybug, LOL, so I’m really stretching my creative license here, I know, but as I started building the layers, it just kind of all came together.

Even the 3D Embossing Folder of the month got involved in the theme as this month is angled bamboo, so it made the PERFECT background for my ladybug, LOL

How to create the Spellbinders Stitched Ladybug Card:

Start by die cutting the pieces for the ladybug and stitching them.  Once stitched, layer them and glue them to the black base.  Glue the wings first, then the head, then add the black dots..

Next, create a A2 sized white card base 4-1/4″ x 11″ score and fold at 5-1/2″.  Over that, attach a front panel in red 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.

Then, cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ black panel.  Cut the center out with the inside die for the dotted frame.  Place inside the Stylized Lattice 3D Embossing Folder and run through the die cutting machine.  Attach to the card front.

Next, cut the dotted frame from Mirror Gold card stock and attach around the oval.

Finally, use foam squares to attach the ladybug in the center and then die cut two sentiments, one for the top the other for the bottom.

and, by the way, Chinese New Year 2025 is Wed. Jan 29th – so Happy New Year.

The gold frame around the ladybug can also be stitched and there are light embossed directional marks for that.  I decided with my bold colors that enough was enough, LOL.

The reason I ask for that specific info is the system that tracks the sales only gives us a dollar amount and company name, we do not know who made the sale.
