Hi card making friends, welcome to a new week. Hope you have your cards out, your tree up and your gifts wrapped. We finished all that this weekend now I must bake. I leave that until the last week, so we don’t eat too much of it, LOL. Anyway, on to today’s share. Spellbinders Stitched Love Hand Made Valentine’s Card. As you may have guessed, it’s the December Stitched Die of the Month Club and once again, it’s fabulous.

There are so many ways you can use this die set. Use all the dies like I did. Use just a few of the flowers and die cut a pile of them for a repeated pattern over your entire card. Or just a few of them as a cluster around the love. I wish I had time this week to make more of these cards because I really enjoyed this set. Also, the large scalloped edge die is really love, so I created my card base with it, cutting two and gluing them together at the top.
How to create the Spellbinders Stitched LOVE Hand Made Valentine’s Card
Start by die cutting all the flower pieces and the sentiments.
Next, stitch all the flowers with two strands of white DMC Cotton and then glue the layers together.
Then, stitch the love letters with the DMC Gold thread.
Create the card base for the Spellbinders Stitched LOVE Hand Made Valentine’s Card
Start with two 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ (half sheet) of Waterfall cardstock and die cut the scalloped border die twice.
Next, spritz one of them with water and place it inside the Tiled Hearts Embossing Folder and run it through the Platinum 6 die cutting machine.
Then, using a score pal, score a fold line one inch from the top of the back flat piece before attaching it to the front embossed piece to create a top folding A2 sized card base.
Finally, use liquid glue to attach all the flowers and sentiment, then place a couple of acrylic blocks on top to hold everything flat until it dries.
