I’m back with the 4th and final card from the Out and About Series. This sweet one is Sprinkle and Grow Die Cut and Embossed Greeting Card. I’m a gardener, so I just love the little watering can and flowers in this one. I added to that the new Arch Labels and Tag dies for an interesting background window, and again used the embossing folder that came with my Scout to emboss the white space.

I tried to stick just a plain background behind all that, but it wasn’t flying with me, so I embossed the waterfall card stock with the Dimensional Diamonds 3D embossing folder. Then I ink blended a bit of Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink over that to really highlight the design and was instantly happier. I really love textured layers, it adds so much interest to a card. My final texture was that adorable little jute bow. This is a card you want to reach out and touch.
Products used:
- Sprinkle and Grow Die Set
- Scout Die Cutting Machine
- Arch Labels and Tag
- Dimensional Diamonds 3D embossing Folder
- Distress Oxide Inks: Peacock Feathers, Wilted Violet , Fossilized Amber, and Worn Lipstick
- Spellbinders card stock
How to create the Sprinkle & Grow Die Cut and Embossed Greeting Card
Start by die cutting all the pieces, the watering can, the flowers and leaves. Ink blend them for added interest and shadow and then glue them all together.
Next, from the Arch Labels & Tag die set, pick two layering dies that encompass the art piece and cut them from white and pale yellow cardstock. Emboss the white die cut with the Scout Embossing Folder before attaching them together. (this embossing folder is exclusive to the New Scout and comes included when you purchase your Scout).
Then, cut a piece of waterfall cardstock 4 x 5-1/4″ and emboss it with the Dimensional Diamonds 3D embossing Folder. Ink blend to highlight the embossing before attaching to a top folding White A2 sized card base 4-1/4″ x 11″ score and fold at 5-1/2″.
Putting it all together.
Start by using foam tape to attach the arch labels piece to the center of the card front.
Then, use foam squares to attach the die cut art piece to the center of that.
Finally, create a small bow with some jute and glue it to the left side of the watering can.

Love this!! The little die cut watering can and flowers are so pretty and I love the background! 🙂
thanks so much Amy
Lovely! I agree that the embossed background really adds dimension and “pop” to the watering can and flowers. You are great at putting color combos together. They always look so beautiful together.
thank you Gayle, Same color combo as the last card, but with the blue background instead of the yellow, so that makes different colors pop.
WOW! Another beauty! So fresh and gorgeous!
Thanks so much Sharon
This is STUNNING!!!!!!!!
thank you Natasha
