Sweet Celebration

Hi crafty friends and welcome back.  Today I have a Sweet Celebration card to share with you   I just couldn’t help adding this stamp/die set to my recent Simon Says Stamp order.  It’s from My Favorite Things and it’s so adorable and so fun to color.

Sweet Celebration

It’s also a small image so it only takes a few minutes to color:

The Building Process:

I stamped the image onto Hammermill card stock and colored the image with copics

Then, cut it out with the coordinating (very detailed, love it), die.

VIOLETS:  V13, V15, V17, PINKS:  R81, R83, R85, GRAY:  Coo, C1, C2, C4, BLUES:  BG11, BG13, BG49, BROWNS:  E50, E51, E31,  E57 GREENS:  Yg21, YG23, YG17

TIP – this would also be adorable if you stamped the balloons on patterned paper, cut them out and paper pieced them into the image if your not into coloring.

The Finishing Touches:

I cut a 4 x 5-1/4 card front and used the Picket Fence Studios Slimline Cloud Coverage Stencil to add clouds to the sky using Broken China Distress Oxide Ink.

I cut a piece of copy paper like mountains and used that to add green mountain tops with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink

Finally, over that, I stenciled the BURST OF SUN STENCIL from Picket Fence Studios in Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink

After attaching the card front to the card base, also with Foam squares, I attached the image to the top center and then added the sentiment.

The sentiment is white heat embossed onto black and trimmed to fit.

Embellishments:

Finally, I used a Sakura Gelly Roll 310 white gel pen to add highlights to the image.
