Hi cardmaking friends – I hope you’re having a relaxing weekend! It’s pouring rain here, so I’m catching up on design team deadlines, LOL, who am I kidding, I’ll never completely catch up on all the deadlines, LOL.
For today’s Sweet Stenciled Giraffe Card Idea, I combined three products from the recent Simon Says Stamp Always There release to create this bright and cheerful design. This is such a quick and easy card featuring a softly stenciled background and the cutest little die-cut giraffe.
My first thought was that this would make an adorable baby shower card, but it would also be perfect for a child’s birthday card. Imagine adding their age to a balloon for a personalized touch–so fun! There are so many creative possibilities with this sweet little giraffe.
Anyway, let’s dive in, and I’ll show you how I created the card!

Products Used for the Sweet Stenciled Giraffe Card Idea:
- Fable Giraffe – Die
- Dew Pierce Tiny Butterflies
- Dot Petal Pattern Stencil
- Plaque Slides Love and Friendship stamps (sentiment)

How to create the Sweet Stenciled Giraffe Card:
Create the Card Base:
Trim a white cardstock panel to 4-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ and stencil it with the Dot Petal Pattern Stencil using and Cantaloupe, Blush, and Lemonade inks.
Attach the stenciled panel to the top front of a white, top-folding, A2-sized card base.
Create the Giraffe:
Die cut the Giraffe pieces from white cardstock and color the pieces with Copic markers: Y11, Y15, E35, R20, and R21. Assemble the giraffe and set him aside.

Stamp the Sentiment:
Place the card into your Misti and stamp one of the sentiments in the bottom left corner with black ink.
Assemble the Card:
Use foam squares to attach the die-cut giraffe to the bottom right section of the card. Add a tiny butterfly to the giraffe’s forehead, using the Dew Pierce Tiny Butterflies Die.
PRO-TIP – I had previously ink blended a panel with Cantaloupe and Blush Ink and then cut the butterflies for another project. I had a few leftovers, so they were the perfect finishing touch for this card.
