Trinity Stamps You Lift Me Up

Hi cardmaking Friends.  Today I have a very special cardmaking tutorial to share with you, Trinity Stamps You Lift Me Up Slimline Card.  I actually bought this set quite a few months ago in one of my Simon Says Stamp orders but have not had the perfect time to use it until now.

You may know by know I have a definite love for Slimline Cards, so this new die set with a Slimline Rainbow die set really rocked my boat.

I’m in a very special Instagram Hop today for a very special guy, Andy Granick.  Andy will be going through some medical issues/procedures for the next few months and we all love him and wanted to uplift him and show him how much his crafty community cares for him.  He’s a fabulous crafter and the sweetest guy.

I hope you will join in the hop – you can start at me @sandimaciver and work your way through this list of super amazing and talented crafters to get some fabulous card ideas.   Then don’t forget to come back and get the card details for todays card.

How to Create the Trinity Stamps You Lift Me Up Card:

Use the Picket Fence Studios Slim Line Die cutting system to cut a card front.

Next, blend Distress Oxide Inks in Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean all over the card front

Die Cut the clouds from the Trinity Stamps Rainbow Builder Dies and blend a bit of Distress Oxide Ink Tumbled Glass around the edges.

Pop the bottom cloud into the Misti and stamp the sentiments in black ink.  I know they are hard to read in the picture, they say:  We Rise by Lifting Others and You’re Not Alone.

Finally, To create the rainbow, die cut each color required and then use the Bearly Art Glue to attach them to the center of the card front.

To create the Bears and Balloons:

Stamp both in Copic friendly black ink onto Hammermill white card.

Color the images with copic markers and cut out with the coordinating dies.

Add strings to the balloons, I used single strands of black embroidery cotton.

Finally, attach the balloons to the card first, then wrap the string tight to the bear and attach him.  Use Foam squares for the balloons and the bears to pop them up slightly.

Embellishments:

I had some gold stars left from a card kit so I used those along with two small red hearts that I placed on each bear.  I also thought about Glossy  Accents for the balloons but decided I had enough going on.
