Typing Class

Hi card making friends and welcome back.  It’s time for the New February Large Die of the Month from Spellbinders and it’s called Typing Class.  I think this is my favorite so far of the monthly clubs.  I loved typing class in school, probably because I was good at it.  My mother was a piano teacher, so I started piano at a very early age.   The eye/finger coordination was already there when I started typing.

Spellbinders Typing Class Large Die of the Month Card:

Anyway, I had so much fun die cutting out this adorable typewriter.  I always wanted a turquoise one – now I can have any color I like, haha.

I went with the vintage design, and made the keys and the handle in mirror gold with black trim.  The key dies are quite intricate and it does take a bit of patience to glue them in, but it’s so worth it.

Adding the sentiment:

Foil the sentiment in Teal foil using the Feb/22 Glimmer of the month kit – one you need for your stash.

Slide it through the slit in the typewriter die and then embellish with the flower and leaves dies that came in the kit.

I used the Be Bold Blooms etched dies for my florals as I had some left over from my last card, but check out the beautiful leaf dies in this month’s kit.

The typewriter is quite large and fully covers an A2 sized card.  With the sentiment popped up, I opted for a 5 x 7 card for today’s share.

And peeking out from behind the leaves – the new Embossing Folder for this month – Sketched Florals.  You will see much more of it on my next card I promise.

The Large die of the Month kit contains 22 die pieces including the typewriter, 5 sentiments plus three flower designs and four leaf designs.  This  allows you to complete an entire card without the need for other products.

  1. A beautiful die cut plate. It reminds me of what I used at work with this machine.
SOUVENIR, SOUVENIR. This blue card stock is very bright, and it pops up the keyboard. Love the touch of gold. This magnéfique flower bouquet sitting with the note is a very sweet touch.
This is a nice die cut set.
    I like your new post
    Merci beaucoup Sandi
