Hey card making friends and welcome back. Today’s card is Unity Stamp Company Sunflowers and I have 3 cards to share with you.
This stamp set is called “Beautiful Like That” and it’s a new release, and on sale for half price, but hurry I think the sale ends soon (I can’t find an actual date, lol). Anyway, Click here to order.
There is also a FLASH SALE on right now and I think it ends today – visit FLASH SALE HERE
This set has the most adorable sunflower image as you can see, and some very nice sentiments for cards to send to your friends. I don’t know about you but I am missing my friends and have been sending out a lot of cards lately. It’s such a great way to connect.
The fact that I was able to whip up 3 cards in a couple of hours speaks to the versatility of this stamp set too. The image can be used in many ways and there are a variety of colors of sunflowers these days too so even your coloring can be changed up.
The image is a little smaller so it only take a few minutes to color. Then you can leave it as it is as I did above, and just add a mat and card base.
Or you can fussy cut it out.
I added a stitched rectangle die cut in black behind the flowers to dramatize the yellow and left the sentiment by itself at the bottom. I think I should have white embossed the sentiment on black to balance the card out, next time, haha
Unity Stamp Company Sunflowers – Card #3.
I colored and cut out just the center flower. Mounted it onto a stitched rectangle die cut and then added the beautiful sentiment. The card recipe is below for you, and it was a toss up on the card base – between Turquoise and Kraft. They both looked good, so give them a try and see which one you like better.
Finally, I embellished all three cards with copper and blue sequins from the Simon Says Stamp Sunken Treasure Sequin Mix.
All three cards have a Craft card base 4-1/4 x 11, scored and folded at 5-1/2, and 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 score and folded at 4-1/4
I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Wafer Dies to cut the rectangles from scraps of black card
The sunflowers were printed onto Neenah Solar White card 80 lb so that I could color them with Copic Markers
Copic Markers used:
- Yellow: Y15, Y17, Y19
- Green: G21, G24, G28
- Brown: E35 – for the center and shadows at the bottom of the petals too
- Jar: BG11, BG13
I hope you enjoyed today’s cards and visit Unity Stamp Co for some fabulous stamps
