Waffle Flower Postage Collage Snowmen

Hi, crafty friends; welcome back. I have Waffle Flower Postage Collage Snowmen cards to share with you today. I had so much fun with this die-and-stencil set that I made three cards, haha. I just couldn’t stop. The postage collage snowman stencil fits perfectly over the postage collage die-cut panel, and it’s super easy to stencil. The only serious decision you have to make is what colors to use; the rest is just fun!

Waffle Flower Postage Collage Snowmen

I went with Pink Fresh Ink for todays cards:  Ocean Breeze, Mermaid, Grassy Knoll, Sparkling Rose and Raspberry Bliss.  I used VersaFine Clair Nocturne for the black, and VersaMark ink for the white snowflake embossing.

Waffle Flower Postage Collage Snowmen Card Instructions:

Start by die cutting the postage collage from a piece of white cardstock 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.

Secure the panel to the Waffle Flower Grip Mat and then secure the first Postage Collage Snowman stencil over it.

Use Pink Fresh Inks in Ocean Breeze and Mermaid to ink blend the background, darker at the bottom.

PRO-TIP – I used washi tape to cover the face and arms so I could use a bigger brush to do this.  Then removed the tape and did the face and arms in black.

Next, using the second stencil, ink blend the nose and and buttons.  Ink blend the inside of the snowflake in either of the highlight colors.  For my teal background I did the lime green snowflake.

Finally, when the ink is dry, (you can dry it with your heat tool).  Place the panel inside your Misti, place the first stencil back over the snowmen.  Stamp the three different sized snowflake stamps from the North Pole stamp set in Versamark ink over the background of each panel, and white heat emboss.

PRO-TIP – ensure you leave space in the top right corner to add the postage amount stamps in black.  They will not stamp over the white embossing.

Waffle Flower Postage Collage Snowmen – Alternating Backgrounds

For my second card I decided to try alternating the colors of the background.  I started with the same steps as above, but for each panel, I used post it notes to mask off each panel to protect the panel beside it.

Once all the cards are finished, I stamped the entire North Pole stamp set in black onto a panel of white cardstock, cut them apart and used foam squares to attach one to each card.

Waffle Flower Postage Collage Snowmen – Cut the Stamps Apart

For an overlapping collage look, take your scissors and cut the stamps apart.  Then you can have fun layering them in a cluster on your card.

For the blue card, I cut a panel 4-1/4″  x 5-1/2″ in dark teal blue, then I embossed it using the Waffle Flower Triple Line Diamond Foil Plate.  I attached it to a top folding A2 sized card base and then added my collage.

There is an entire series of different stencils and stamp sets that coordinate with the Waffle Flower Postage Collage Die Set.  I’ll be back soon with a video using another one, as I am now addicted and collecting them all, haha…Thanks Carol!

My friend Carol gifted me the snowmen stencil as she accidentally ordered two, that’s what started all this, haha
