One thing I really love in craft supplies is when you can use a product in more than one way, don’t you agree?  When I started playing with the Love & XOXO Die set from Alex Syberia Designs, I knew I would love it.  You can use the positive die cuts and the negative die cuts, and you can mix them with hearts dies to create super fun sentiments on your cards.

This die set pretty much covers all things “LOVE”, it has the actual word “LOVE”, and a same size X and O to create love and hugs.  While I was die cutting them out for samples for the video the other day, I was fooling around with them seeing how they would fit into a card and here is one Idea I came up with.

How to create the XOXO Penguin Love Card.

I decided to color block the top 2/3 of the card with the negative pieces from the die cuts, and then use the positive pieces at the bottom of the card, allowing room to add the little penguin and flower.

It ended up being a super easy card to make, each panel is 2″ x 4-1/4″.  To cover the joins, I added die cut sentiments from the Penguin Love Stamp and Die set along with the adorable little penguin at the bottom, holding his flowers.

It’s a quick and easy support card to send to a friend or family member who needs a little pick-me-up.  You could take it one step further and change out the O for a die cut heart using the Endless Hearts Die.  I shared a couple of cards like that in my recently Alex Syberia Video which you can watch  below.
