Simon Says Stamp Reindeer Background

One of my favorite stamps from the recent release is the Simon Says Stamp Reindeer Background. It’s adorable and versatile and I can’t stop creating with it haha.

The first techniques I learned as a stamper many MANY years ago, was heat embossing. Back then I used my Black and Decker heat and strip tool to do it as we didn’t have heat tools then. Many used their toasters and it wasn’t uncommon to set a piece of cardstock on fire LOL, so I always did my embossing over the kitchen sink….my how times have changed eh, but, I STILL love to emboss. Especially at Christmas time.

Heat embossing adds so much to a card that I find I can create beautiful cards in less than 10 minutes so I’m starting a new series today “10 Minutes to WOW” featuring a Christmas Card Countdown.

Today’s card is #1 and as you can see, can be completed in less than 10 minutes with minimal supplies and would be a great card for mass producing for the holidays.

It’s also a one layer card (almost), with the pretty sentiment popped up on foam and a sparkly piece of gold twine tied around. (PS you could also use a thin gold washi tape and eliminate the bulk of the bow for mailing purposes).
