Zippy Zebras

Hi crafty friends and welcome back to my Cardmaking Blog. Today I’m stamping with Zippy Zebras from My Favorite Things. Their stamp artwork is always adorable and uplifting and who can resist a zebra on a scooter? NOT ME! haha.

I have another bright and cheery Distress Oxides Color combo for you too.

I started by blending the background with Peacock Feather and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Inks for a bright playful look. Next, I splattered with water for some distressing.

These Zippy Zebras are fast and easy to stamp and you can use Copic Markers C0 and C1 (light grays) to add a little shadow down the side.

I colored the scooter with Copics in Blues: BG11, BG13, BG49 and the tires in C5 and C6 with a bit of White gel pen for highlights.

There are butterfly and flower stamps in the set as well as coordinating dies which I used to cut out my little Zippy Zebras (love that name, haha).

Next, I cut out my “HUGS” with Alpha dies. The final sentiment is white heat embossed on black.

In closing, these little guys are fast and fun, they would go with any colored background and any occasions, I know I will be playing with them again very soon.
