Hi cardmaking friends and welcome back. Today I have a New Video – Copic Markers and Heat Embossing. These two items don’t normal go together, but I’m going to show you how they can with the help of your Misti Stamping Tool. I also share a quick lesson on the Copic Flicking Technique for the coloring – so read and watch on.
Embossing powder:
is made from tiny shards of plastic and even though we heat and melt it to our card, it remain sharp. When you color up against heat embossing with a Copic marker, you run the risk of shredding your tip.
While tips on Copics are replaceable, they are our most prized possessions, so we want to keep them in fabulous condition right? AND, we would rather spend our hard earned cash on new products, not replacing tips.
So, in today’s video I’ll show you how to get around that using your Misti Stamping Tool.
Secondly, it’s pretty hard to color these images on colored card stock right? So let’s have a little fun with that too with a cool trick I saw on Yana Smakaula’s blog a bit ago.
In today’s New Video:
I’ll be using the Penny Black Harmony Stamp (that beautiful floral spray) and the sentiment is from Penny Black Love Sentiments. Sadly this stamp and die set is no longer available, so just grab your favorite florals.
This stamp reminds me of Magnolia trees that bloom in the spring around here, I used to call them Tulip Trees before I knew their true name. The do remind me of spring and changing out the sentiment, this would make a beautiful Easter card, or spring Birthday card as well.
You will love how easy and FABULOUS this technique is and will be digging through your stash looking for more flowers to color.
