Today’s card making video tutorial shares Distress Oxide Inks Color Combos and Cards #7.
We are combining two colors of Distress Oxide Inks, Picked Raspberry and Carved Pumpkin.
I love the bright happy summer feel of this combination and I’m sure you will too.
I’ve also included a masking technique just for a bit more fun.
The video walks you step by step through the completion of the card and just a note. Use a permanent ink when you stamp on the masking sheet. I didn’t, and I had a transfer of ink onto my fingers, and the blending brush moved a bit of it around too. (yes, I should have know better I know, haha).
Anyway, super striking card with a fun technique. However, if it seems like a bit too much work for you….I’ve got you covered.
DO the same steps for blending the background.
You can actually go a little darker as you don’t have to worry about peeling back the masking.
Then stamp and white heat emboss the flowers onto vellum and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

Oh, Sandi, these are beautiful. I enjoyed the video. I haven’t used my Oxide inks in awhile, they might be all dried up! You have inspired me to get them out and try this.
HI Karen, thanks for watching. Hopefully they are not dry, I always buy reinkers just in case, LOL Have fun with them
