Hello my craft friends, Happy Friday, it’s almost the weekend, yeah!….looking forward to a little downtime and finishing a garden I’m building outside. Today I’m sharing two handmade cards created with the NEW Tonic Studios Christmas Rose stamp and die set.
You know me and flowers, I had a FABULOUS time coloring this beauty and then a terrible time deciding on which sentiments to use because there are so dang many of them in this set, haha.
The team has fabulous creations to share with you today on the BLOG HOP, so enjoy!.
GIVEAWAY:
One lucky winner will win a $50 gift card to Shop Tonic Studios and the Christmas Rose Bundle. To enter, leave a comment at each blog on the hop by Sept 1st 2021. Winner will be announced on Sept 3rd, 2021 in IG and FB so make sure you’re following all Tonic Accounts.
I colored both images with Copic Markers which I have listed below. To add interest without bulk to my backgrounds I used some of the additional stamps and heat embossed them with WOW Embossing Powder. To that I added a bit of white paint splatter. I like to refer to this as my “background noise” and as these are Christmas Cards, some snow for my pretty images.
These artful stamps and dies are only sold through Tonic Studios and can only be ordered as a bundle – USA orders here, UK orders here. There is also a $5.00 discount today.
There are 18 stamps in the set and 22 dies which coordinate and provide additional die cut sentiments. Of course you can also use this set for non Christmas cards, just color the image in your favorite colors and add the sentiment you need.
Tonic Studios Christmas Rose Card #1
I have really been into non traditional colored Christmas cards this year. I’m starting with this blue and pink number with white highlights.
Using a Misti, stamp the image onto white card stock with Copic friendly black ink.
Copic Markers Used to Color the Image:
Pinks: RV19, Rv14, RV13, RV10
Blue: BG09, BG57, BG53
Yellow: Y13
Next, die cut the image with the coordinating die.
Use Wow Embossing Powder Opaque Bright White to stamp and heat emboss the branch on the blue card front
Mix up a small amount of white paint and splatter the card front.
Finally, heat emboss the sentiment on a small piece of blue card, die cut it out and attach it with foam squares to the card front.
Card #2:
Use the Misti to stamp the image in black onto white card stock.
Color with Copic Markers and then cut out the image with the coordinating die.
Copic Markers Used:
Blues:
B3, B32, B01, B000
Violets: V17, V15, V12
Green: YG67, YG63, YG03
This time I used the splatter stamp and white heat embossed down the left side of the card front with Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder from Wow.
Next, I again splattered the entire card front with white paint to make it look like snow.
Attach a skinny strip of Silver Glimmer Paper down the left side.
Mount the floral image with foam squares.
White heat emboss a sentiment and attach it under the florals.

Stunning cards. I especially love card #2. It reminds me of a flower as if it’s floating in space. OK, so I have a very lateral thinking eyesight! 😁😉
