Welcome back my card making friends. Today I’m so happy to be part of the Simon Says Stamp STAMPTEMBER BLOG PARTY.
The design family has come together for a huge party to share inspiration around the NEW RELEASE products for Stamptember. The home base for this hop is the SIMON SAYS STAMP BLOG where there are links to everyone’s posts.
I also have a very special FREE GIFT Code to share with you.
use code: VSX9A98 to receive a free “warm Hugs” wood mounted stamp included in your order of $30.00 or more.
This offer is good while supplies last.
My New Stamp set for this hop is the beautiful Happy Poinsettia stamp and Die set and I have two cards to share with you today.
Stamptember Blog Party Card #1
The Happy Poinsettia stamp set is a layered stamping set. I used the Doll Pink ink to stamp the image and then the detailed stamp on top of each other.
Use the coordinating dies to cut the image out.
My background is also showcasing another new Stamptember product, the Crystal Distortion Embossing Folder….I LOVE this thing, so may pretty angles and it looks fabulous in any color your want to emboss it in.
Finally, use the Sands of Time Gem Mix from Picket Fence Studios to embellish the flower center and around the sentiment.
I love this embossing folder so much, I have made more cards.
You can find card #2 here
Stamptember Blog Party Card #2
I went for dark and dramatic on this card using Wow Embossing Powder in Pearl Gold Sparkle and Color Blend Verdigris.
Heat embossed on black cardstock really does make them pop
Stamp the poinsettia pieces in VersaMark ink and cover with the gold embossing powder to create the two layers of the flower
Die cut the floral pieces and then layer on the card front.
Finally, between the embossed background, add some Sands of Time Gems from Picket Fence Studios
I have a third card I created with this stamp set here
