Welcome back card making friends. There’s a new challenge up today over on the Hero Arts Blog and it’s Anything Goes. So if anything goes, I have More Peonies Bunch in Turquoise and Gold….it’s such a pretty color combo I had to give it a go for today’s challenge. There is an Inlinkz button over there for you to join in the challenge too.
The January Add On Release from Hero Arts included this beautiful set of Peonies products….the stamp set, the coordinating stencil and the die.
How to create the More Peonies Bunch Card:
Use the Misti to stamp the outline image in Intense Black Ink onto white cardstock.
Use the layering stencils to add the colors:
- Flowers: Pool Party/Blue Raspberry
- Leaves: Soft Vanilla/Pumpkin Pie.
Next, use the coordinating die to cut out the floral image.
Creating the card base:
Cut a white card base 4-1/4 x 11, score and fold at 5-1/2
Use a blending brush to add Pool Party and Blue Raspberry Reactive Inks over the entire front.
Next, splatter with water to add a distressed look
Lay the flowers down with the card base on a protected work surface and splatter with gold paint
Finally, cut the Chain Linked Die from Glitter paper, leaving some of the pieces intact.
Glue this down on the card base and then attach the florals using Foam Tape for dimension.
Gold heat emboss a sentiment from the Happy Thanks Sentiments set onto a scrap of black cardstock and attach to the top right corner.
Embellish with a few gold gems.
I hope you enjoyed today’s card and you will give the A Blog Named Hero Challenge a try too.
Visit THIS BLOG POST for two additional cards I created using this stamp/stencil/die set.
