Winged Fragments Slimline Card

Hey cardmaking friends and welcome back.  Hope you are having a great long weekend.  Today I’m sharing Winged Fragments Slimline Card.  This is created with a couple of really cool stamp sets from Tracy Evans and AALL & Create.  Plus I had to add some watercoloring and heat embossing and gold splatter.  Multi Media cards are never complete without some splatter right?

All supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links may be used at no cost to you and product disclosure is below.  As always, I appreciate your support of my Blog and YouTube Channel.

I have always had a thing for vintage style clocks and watches so I had to play with the #598 Minutes in Flight set by Tracy and combined it with #566 Winged Fragments also by Tracy Evans.  This card reminds me that time is fragile.  We never know how much we have.  Like the life of a butterfly.

How to create the Winged Fragments Slimline Card:

Cut a piece of watercolor paper 3 x 8 and black heat emboss the circle elements.  Note, they overlap slightly in the center, but the butterfly clock will cover that.

Next, watercolor the background in pinks and purples.

Once dry, splatter with gold ink gem colors from Gansai Tambi, (it’s my fav).

Finally, attach to a black mat measuring 3-1/4 x 8-1/4 and then to a 3-1/2 x 8-1/2 white slimline card base.

Adding the art Elements:

On separate scraps of watercolor paper, black heat emboss the butterflies and clocks.

Next, paint them in the pinks and purples and paint the faces of the clocks with the gold ink.

Also, gold heat emboss the sentiment onto a scrap of black card.

Finally, attach the art elements to the card front using foam tape to 3/d them a bit.

  2. Gorgeous Sandi, the images fit so well on a slimline. I love the mixed media effect and your beautifully watercoloured (and splattered!) background. Stunning card!
