Hey cardmaking friends, I’m so happy you stopped in. Today I’m sharing Spellbinders Stitched Small Leaves Card. I’ll be using the September Small Die of the Month Club Kit from Spellbinders. Included in the kit is a fabulous selection of leaves to die cut along with frames for them if you wish. A die cut sentiment, and the best part, you can stitch them, or not, they look fabulous both ways. I stitched mine as I find stitching very relaxing and I watched the Queens service in Scotland while I stitched.

Today’s card is a 5″ x 5″ inch square card. I like the additional real estate and being able to create a wreath with my stitched leaves.
How to create the Spellbinders Stitched Small Leaves Card
Start by die cutting the leaves from white Hammermill cardstock.
Next, use blending brushes to add Distress Oxide Inks to the leaves. Mowed Lawn, Festive Berries, Fossilized Amber and Wilted Violet are used.
Then, stitch the leaves using DMC Cotton, Yellow #725 and Red #349
Creating the Card Base:
Start by cutting the card base 5″ x 10″ from White Hammermill cardstock, score and fold at 5″.
Then, cut a piece of Fog cardstock 5″ x 5″ and attach to the card front.
Finally, cut a piece of White Hammermill cardstock 4-3/4″ 4-3/4″. Place inside this month’s Embossing Folder “Scattered Fall” and run through the die cut machine.
Next, adhere to the card front.
Then, die cut the sentiment, add foam squares to the back of all the leaves and sentiments and arrange them in a wreath.
Finally, embellish with Essential Gems in Red and Green

Thank you Sharon, I really like how they turned out too.
Great fall card! The wreath of leaves is so eye catching. The colors you got from ink blending are gorgeous! Glad to see Festive Berries in the mix— not many people seem to use it which I don’t get! It is my favorite Distress ink color.
Thanks Linda, Festive Berries is one of my favorites too
Love those colors.
thanks so much Carol
