Hello my card making friends, thanks so much for stopping in. Today I have a Spellbinders Slimline Holiday Birthday card to share with you created with the November Large Die of the Month Kit, Stylized Floral Kaleidoscope Slimline. I will admit, when I first started, I die cut all the pieces numerous times and played around with them to see how they layered. That was fun…then I had to narrow down what I wanted to create.

I have friends who have birthdays around Christmas and I always try and not send them a Christmas Card, rather a special card to celebrate their day. I also wanted to combine the season, so I used the Spellbinders Christmas Blooms Die set to decorate the card.

There are leaf dies in this set to decorate with, but the person I have in mind for this card is very girly girly, so an over the top pink and gold card is just so her.

I love the soft subtle colors for this one, white base, gold, Pink Sand and Mint Macaron. Highlighted of course with Gold Gems!

How to create the Spellbinders Slimline Holiday Birthday Card:

Start with a Hammermill white card base cut 7 x 8-1/2, score and fold at 3-1/2″.

Next, die cut the background from mirror gold and use the fine tip on the Bearly Art Glue to attach to the card front.

Then, die cut the overlay pieces in white and gold for either side. Leave the center piece gold.

Embellishing the Spellbinders Slimline Holiday Birthday Card:

Using the Spellbinders Christmas Blooms die set, cut enough flowers and foliage to cover all three of the spaces.

Again, use the fine tip on the Bearly Art Glue to glue them together and then add them to the card.

Finally, die cut the Happy Birthday sentiment (comes in the kit) and attach it to the bottom center.

Then, Embellish with gold gems.
