It’s a card making glimmer day around here with the August 2023 Glimmer of the Month Kit. Say hello to Spellbinders Overflowing Floral Glimmer Cards. I’m continuing my pink theme because this month’s kit has Rose Gold FOIL in it….it’s so very pretty. I have been on a “try all the foil colors” binge recently, and I was shocked at how pretty this ROSE GOLD FOIL is WOW! Now I’m wondering what it would look like on BLACK cardstock?
PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.
Once I foiled the image, I used copic markers to color in the pretty image. Colors are listed below for you.
Next, check out the details below on how to make these clean and simple cards – and it’s also a twofer because I used the same piece of foil – to REVERSE FOIL the second card.
How to create the Spellbinders Overflowing Floral Glimmer Cards:
Start by Glimmer Foiling the Overflowing Floral Glimmer of the month plate in the ROSE GOLD FOIL. The cut it out with the Essential Arches Dies.
Next, color the image with Copic markers: Pinks: R20, R21, R22, Greens: G21, G24, G28 (listed below in the thumbnails).
Then, cut a card front 4 x 5-1/4″ from Pink Sand card stock. Place inside the August 2023 Embossing Folder of the Month – Arches and Dots and run through the die cut machine.
Finally, use tear tape to attach the card front to a top folding, white A2 sized card base.
Next, place foam tape on the back of the art piece and attach to the center of the card.
Finally, gold heat emboss a sentiment from the Clear Stamp and Die of the Month Club Kit, and attach on the left side.
How to REVERSE FOIL – For Spellbinders Overflowing Floral Glimmer Cards #2
Start by taking the foil piece you just used from card #1. Place the Essential Glimmer Solid Rectangle Plate face up on the glimmer plate surface. Add the used foil piece, good side down. Add a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of white cardstock. Heat the plate and run through the die cutting machine. The solid plate transfers all of the remaining foil on the sheet to your white cardstock.
Next, die cut the art piece with the Essential Arches Dies.
Then, cut a card front 4 x 5-1/4″ from Pink Sand card stock. Place inside the August 2023 3D Embossing Folder of the Month – Stylized Floral and run through the die cut machine.
Finally, use tear tape to attach the card front to a top folding, white A2 sized card base.
Next, place foam tape on the back of the art piece and attach to the center of the card.
Finally, use the “thanks” die from the Large Die of the Month August Kit to emboss a simple strip sentiment and attach over the art piece.
That’s it, hope you love these cards as much as I do.

Beautiful cards Sandi! Love the soft color and the arched die cuts. Perfect! 🙂
Thanks so much Amy
Awesome cards! Rose gold is such a pretty colour so it’s no
surprise these cards are so beautiful!
Thanks Sharon, that rose gold foil is amazing!
Both cards are lovely! I love the rose gold foil with the pink cardstock. Your r erase foiling is gorgeous. I have not gotten good results with that technique yet.
Thank you Linda. I have found that an extra shim or two is required for reverse foiling to ensure that you get a good solid “squeeze” on the foil transfer, LOL
Thank you for the tip. I will try it for sure. I have saved lots of foiled design remnants so have some to try.
me too, I have a whole bin full so I need to use them up
Love the Rose Gold and Matte Gold foils (however there is NOT a stinker in the foils). This die set is gorgeous and you made some pretty fantastic cards. They may be simple but they certainly pack a visual punch,..
Thanks Mary, I almost agree, I have found a couple that didn’t excite me, but not many, LOL. But I don’t think I’m finished playing with all the colors yet.
These are stunning! I have not yet ventured into the world of “foiling” but maybe someday as I love the way it looks.
thank you Ida, try it some day, it’s so beautiful and adds just the perfect amount of bling to your cards
