Simon Says stamp Sunshine Stencil Set
Pawsitively Saturated Inks: Sunbeam, Citrine, Peony, Surf, Ocean, and Cabbage
How to make the Easy Stenciled Rainbow Sunshine Shaker Card
Card Cuts:
- Hammermill white – card base – 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″
- Card front 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
- Sentiment: 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2 to ink blend and cut out on, and Black, 2 x 4-1/2″ – die cut the shadow
- Black Cardstock – scraps for the white embossed sentiments
Start by laying down the 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ card front onto the Waffle Flower Grip Mat.
Next, lay the first stencil over it, and ink blend the yellows and pinks to create the first set of sun rays.
Then, remove that stencil, add the second one and ink blends, the blues, greens and yellows for the second sun rays.
Finally, using the third stencil, ink blend the two blues and the peony to make purple for the sun itself.
Easy Stenciled Rainbow Sunshine Shaker Card – Create the sentiments.
Ink blend the pink and yellow ink in two strips to die cut the word Splendid from. Add a second layer of ink once it’s die cut, this will also ink the edges.
Next, white heat emboss the “whishing you a” and “day” on scraps of black cardstock and trim them.
Set these aside until you make the shaker card.
Creating the Shaker Card:
Start by flipping the art piece/card front over and adding red line tape around the edge of the back.
Next, cut a cello bag at least 1/2″ bigger all the way around and lay it under the art piece. One side at a time, remove the release tape from the red line tape, and bend the cello bag over until it’s secure in the tape, repeat on two more sides, leaving the top open.
Then, pour in sequins. I used Simon Says stamp Smiles Sequins and Holographic Rainbows.
Finally, flip it back over to the backside and remove the last bit of tape, fold the cello back over to seal off the entire front of the card. Trim all the corners of excess Cello. Add tear tape to the back and attach to a top folding A2 sized white card base. 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2.
Then, using white glue, attach the sentiments to the front.
