Hey card making friends, hope you are having a great week. Today I have Spellbinders Glimmer and Stencil Clubs for August to share with you. The month is getting away from me and I forgot I still had these two little pretties to make. The Colorful Splash Glimmer plate is just that, a huge beautiful SPLASH, I actually foiled it with 4 different foils on different colors cardstock just to see what it did, and it’s FABULOUS.
PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.
The Colorful Expressions Garden Stencil is also fabulous. The layering is spot on, and I only used 4 ink pads for this pretty card. As you can see, I’m carrying my purple theme right to month end, LOL. Gotta get it in while I can.
Products used for today’s cards:
- Colorful Splash Glimmer Hot Foil Plate
- Colorful Expressions Garden Layered Stencil
- Colorful Expressions Sentiment Die Set
- Colorful Expressions Blooms Die Set
- Floral Expressions 3D embossing Folder
- Arch Labels Tag Dies
How to create the Spellbinders Glimmer and Stencil Club Cards – Glimmer Card
Start with a piece of white Hammermill cardstock 4″ x 5-1/4″ and use the Glimmer Foil Machine to foil the Splash in Lavender Petal Hot Glimmer Foil.
Next, attach to a top folding A2 sized white card base.
Then, die cut the flowers and leaves using the Colorful Expressions Blooms Large Die of the Month Club kit, cutting the gold overlay for the large flower. Ink Blend the pieces with Distress Oxide Inks in Rustic Wilderness and Wilted Violet before gluing together and attaching to the card.
Finally, die cut the friend sentiment using the Small Die of the Month, Colorful Expressions Sentiments and Purple Mist and white card stock.
Gold Glimmer Foil the smaller sentiment using the plate from the Colorful Splash Glimmer of the month club, and gold foil.
How to create the Spellbinders Glimmer and Stencil Club Cards – Stencil Card
Start with a piece of Hammermill White cardstock and stencil the layers using Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks Heather, Violet, Celery and Pearfection.
Next, die cut the panel using the Arch Labels Tag Dies, then cut one larger from Purple Mist.
Then, create a A2 sized white card base and attach a piece of Peridot cardstock 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2. Cut another piece of white card 4″ x 5-1/4″ and emboss with the Floral Expressions 3D Embossing Folder and attach to the card front.
Finally attach the arch piece to the card front with foam squares and add the sentiments, which are the same as card #1.
