Purple and Blue Grateful For You Card

Welcome back card making friends.  Today, we have Purple and Blue Grateful For You Card using new products from Alex Syberia Designs Fall Release.  This is the same stamp and die set as the last card, done with completely different colors and layered over an embossed background using a NEW Tiny Autumn Leaves Hot Foil Plate.

Embossing with a hot foil plate allows another use for these already versatile plates. You simply need to use an Emboss and Impression pad with your die-cutting machine. I find that spritzing both sides of the paper with water before you start will give you the deepest and best impressions.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. I’ve included my full disclosure below.

How to make the Purple and Blue Grateful For You Card:

Start by using a Misti to stamp and gold heat emboss the floral image onto a piece of white Hammermill Cardstock 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″

Next, place on the Waffle Flower Grip Mat, cover with the stencil and use medium sized blending brushes to add the colors to the floral image.

Then, die cut with the coordinating die and set aside.

Finally, gold emboss a sentiment from the stamp set onto a scrap of white cardstock.

Creating the background.

Start with a piece of Hammermill white cardstock cut at 4″ x 5-1/4″, spritz both sides with water and lay over the Hot Foil Plate.  Cover with the impression mat, and then the cutting pad and run through the die cutting machine a couple of times.

Once the piece is dry, attach it to a top folding A2 sized white card base 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″.

Then, use foam squares to attach the floral art piece and the sentiment.

Finally, you could embellish with some gems or sequins.  I seem to be into clean and simple this week, so I passed.

Alex Syberia Designs Tiny autumn Leaves Hot Foil Plate.

I started this card by gold foiling this beautiful Tiny Autumn Leaves hot foil plate in gold on turquoise, then gold on white.  Then I did a reverse foil on white with one of the used foil panels.  They are all stunning, but didn’t look that great with my art piece.  That’s when I decided to emboss with it so I could have a detail in my white background.  I’ll circle back in a week or two and share cards created with this foil plate.

This card is for the Alex Syberia IG Hop going on today.  You can start the hop over on my Instagram Page, and don’t forget to leave a comment at each spot along the way for a chance to win.
