Today I’m sharing a cheerful birthday card created with the Quirky Daisies and Tall Happy Cover Die from the Simon Says Stamp Shine On Release. Bright pink ink blending, playful die-cut flowers, and a little paint splatter combine for a fresh, modern design that’s perfect for celebrating birthdays all year long.
The background was ink blended using Rhubarb, Apple, and Cranberry Pawsitively Saturated Inks, creating a beautiful ombre effect behind the bold cover die. A few spritzes of water and white paint splatter add texture, while the layered daisies bring dimension and a fun focal point. Finish it off with a simple birthday sentiment and a few sparkling gems for just the right amount of shine.

Products used for the Ink Blended Happy Birthday Card:

How to create the Ink Blended Happy Birthday Card:
Create the Card Base:
Start with a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ panel of white cardstock and ink blend it using Rhubarb, Apple and Cranberry Pawsitively Saturated Inks creating a soft ombre effect from top to bottom.
Allow the ink is dry, then splatter the panel with water to lift some of the color. Once dry, add white paint splatter for extra texture and interest.
While the background is drying, die cut the Tall Happy Cover Die twice from white cardstock. Adhere the two die cuts together for added dimension, then glue them over the ink blended panel. Attach the completed panel to the front of a white, side-folding A2-sized card base.

Create the Flowers:
Die cut the Quirky Daisies dies twice from white cardstock. Ink blend them the flowers and flower centers with the same pink inks. Blend the stems and leaves with Cabbage and Artichoke.
Layer the flower centers onto the petals using foam squares to give the blooms extra dimension.
Assemble the Card:
Use foam squares to attach the stems over the two “P” letters in the cover die, then layer the flowers on top to create a full floral arrangement.
Trim the “Birthday” sentiment from the Reverse Birthday EZ Strips and adhere it in the bottom right corner of the card.
Finish by scattering a few Clear Pawsitively Dazzling Gems around the flowers for a touch of sparkle.
