My Monthly Hero Happy Spring Card

Hi cardmaking friends – Welcome back!  Today, I’m sharing my second card created with the My Monthly Hero Kit from Hero Arts.  This card features the adorable Hoppy Spring Stamp & Cut set, along with the Grass Die from the My Monthly Super Hero Kit – which, sadly, sold out in record time!  This is a quick and easy handmade card, and I’ll walk you through the steps below so you can recreate the look.

How to create the My Monthly Hero Hoppy Spring Card.

Start with a white A2 top-folding card base.  Cut Tutu cardstock 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and stencil around the edges using the Hoppy Spring Stencil and Carnation Ink.  Then adhere it to the card base.
Next, use the Arches Frame Dies to cut one panel from white cardstock and one from gold cardstock.  Place the white arched panel into a Misti stamping tool and stamp the three flowers with VersaFine Black Ink.  Use the Hoppy Spring Stencil to add color to the floral images.

On a separate piece of white cardstock, stamp the bunny and two eggs with Memento Black ink (Copic-friendly), and color with Copic Markers.

  • Pink:  RV 10, RV13, RV14,
  • Yellow:  Y00, Y11, Y15
  • Gray:  N0, N1, N2

Die cut the bunny, eggs, and a strip of grass using the Grass Die from Rainforest green cardstock.  Adhere the grass along the bottom of the white arched panel, trimming away any excess, then layer it onto the gold frame.

Use foam tape to attach the arched panel tot he card base for dimension.  Finish by adding the bunny and eggs with foam squares.  I chose to skip a sentiment, making this handmade spring bunny card perfect for Easter, Birthdays, or any spring occasion.
