Papertrey Ink Build a Lamb Easter Card

Hey card-making friends, thanks for stopping in. I’m sharing a Papertrey Ink Build a Lamb Easter card today with some of the New Release products from Papertrey. This adorable little lamb and all the flowers and greenery are a NEW die set called, you guessed it, Build a Lamb. The entire release will be available today, March 18th, at Noon EDT.

All the dies for the lamb are a good size and very easy to put together, except for the eyes. They are tiny, haha. I did my lamb’s face in black, but he is also very adorable with a pink face, as you will see in the IG Hop we are having today.  Hop over to my Instagram account to start the hop and check out all the fantastic inspiration.  Don’t forget to leave a kind comment at each stop for a chance to win a gift card from Papertrey Ink.

Once I had the little lamb created, it was time to create his home, so I grabbed some pattern paper and card stock in greens and pinks and got to die cutting.  The sentiments are also part of today’s new release, called This is Big Sentiments – Many Blessings Stamp and Die set.  Let’s jump in and I’ll tell you how I made this card.

How to Crate the Papertrey Ink Build a Lamb Easter Card

Start with a A2 sized top folding white card base.

Next, cut the gingham paper down to 4″ x 5-1/4″.  Use the Grassy Edges Die set from Simon Says stamp and some coordinating green cardstock to create the grass at the bottom.  Attach and trim to fit before attaching the entire piece to the card front.

Die Cut the Lamb.

Cut the lamb base out of a black cardstock 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″, then cut the white pieces from a white piece the same size.  Die cut the face and ear pieces in pink and white and attach them to the black base before adding the white body overtop.  Once that is attached, use foam squares to attach the head piece so that it’s popped up.

Next, Embellish with a selection of flowers and leaves cut out from coordinating card stock.

Papertrey Ink Build a Lamb Easter Card – Adding the Sentiment

Using the Many Blessing Stamp and Die set, stamp and die cut the large Blessings in black ink on pink and attach to the center bottom of the card.  Then stamp the word “Easter” in black ink, trim and attach above it.
