Hi stamping friends and welcome back. Today I created a Pop Up Box – Deck the Howls. I have included a video and a FREE PDF download for today’s card – so CLICK HERE to visit my blog to get both:
I hope you will love my Pop of Box Card today, I think you will, especially if you’re a dog lover as I am. I created my Pop up box with the My Favorite things Deck the Howls stamp/die set. Are these little doggies not the cutest ever? and so fun to color!
I don’t have any patterned paper, so I used my Polka Dots turnabout from Concord & 9th to create paper in the colors I wanted to use: Gina K Designs Ink – Lipstick, Blue Lagoon, Lucky Clover and Wild Dandelion.
Next I used my Misti to stamp all these adorable images onto some Neenah Solar White card stock. I colored them with my copics and die cut them out with the coordinating dies (all links are below). Psst – I share the numbers for the copics in the PDF download below.
One thing I did add was little stitched mountains to the cross pieces inside the card. I wanted my doggies to be sitting in snowbanks. In the video you will see I used a die cut set from Simon Says Stamps (because I have them), you can also get a set from My Favorite Things – called Stitched Basic Edges.
The coolest thing about these cards – they fold flat for mailing.
So here is the Pop Up Card – Deck the Howls – video showing you how I created this card. They are not hard, but they are a little time consuming. You can view the video by clicking HERE, or in HD on my Youtube Channel.

Sandi what cute pop up card. Just love the doggies and your sky on the inside page is beautiful. Any white pen I’ve purchased did not write well. Loved the video.
thanks Sandy. I have had awesome luck with this particular brand of white gel pen, I have about 8 of them. the secret is to store them flat and keep them warm.
Thank you for the info, I always stored them upright. Will give this a try maybe I can selvage the ones I have. 😊
This. Is. ADORABLE!! I love that you put the dogs onto snow.
thanks Susan, our dogs love to play in the snow, so that brought on the thought process, plus I didn’t want to add them with acetate and have them flying, haha
Love these cute pups! Adorable pop up box card! Cute papers and colors too!
thank you Denise, it took a bit to make all that paper, haha, but I was happy with the final results.

I know, cute name for a stamp set right? You should try these precut kits Gail, they really make making these cards a breeze, I think I’m going to order more, they have square ones also.

Loved your video! I might need that polka dot stamp around thing. I love polka dots and being able to make any colour i want would be fabulous. Such an adorable pop up with the puppers!
Thanks Bunny, the turnabout stamp is awesome for making great backgrounds you would love it
I love the idea of the snowbanks as I wasn’t happy in the past when I made this type of card and the flowers or animals were just floating freely. This is much better!
Thanks for the video – it makes everything so easy to understand.
Thanks Kathy, I agree, and for summer type cards, try a grass die cut, it works really well too
Those dogs are so adorable! Love your card.
