The April Small die of the month has a large center die that cuts out the parcel image which I did in Gold. It also has a top and bottom outline die, to cut it out from the card stock so it becomes an individual piece. This is also a great project to dumpster Dive into your scrap bin. I used Spellbinder cardstock in a light and dark of each color of the rainbow.
You can snip off some of the end parcels to have this die fit an A2 sized card.
How to create the Spellbinders Rainbow Slimline Card:
Use the large die set to cut the parcels out of gold cardstock. Use the scrap around the edge of the die cut to cut out the little bows for the tops of each – but set aside.
Place scotch tape across the back of the above outline piece
Next, using scraps of rainbow colored cardstock, individually cut out the parcels. Then inlay them into the die cut so they stick to the tape on the back side.
Work your way across die cutting each one. I found using the embellishment wand tool was a great way to pick up these little pieces to imbed them.
Adding the Bows:
Use Bearly Art Glue to add the little die cut bows to the top of each parcel.
Next, place a 3-1/4 x 8-1/4 piece of white cardstock into the Radiant Burst Embossing Folder and run it through the die cut machine.
Create a card base by cutting a piece of white 7 x 8-1/2, scoring and folding at 3-1/2.
Cut a piece of Waterfall cardstock at 3-1/2 x 8-1/2 and attach it to the card front.
Finally, attach the presents using foam squares to pop them up slight.
Adding the sentiment to the Rainbow Slimline Card:
Die cut the sentiment three times from Waterfall card stock.
Use the Bearly Art Glue precision top to stack the three layers together and then to attach them across the top of the card.
Finally, embellish with colored gems from the Essentials Gems selection.
