It’s the 6th of the month, and you know what that means — NEW CLUB KITS from Spellbinders – YEAH!
I’m kicking off the month with the Small Die of the Month, Ready to Roll, because I simply couldn’t resist the sweet puppy and kitten trying to sneak into the suitcase. We have a little corgi here at home who likes to do exactly that, haha.
This die set is incredibly fun and surprisingly easy to die-cut and assemble. One of my favorite details is that you can personalize the puppy and kitten to look like the furry friends of the person receiving the card. I also added the May 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, Radiant Day, to the background for extra texture and detail.

Products used for the Ready to Roll Vacation Card:
- Ready to Roll Small Die of the Month – Spellbinders
- Burst of Summer Clear Stamp and Die Set – Spellbinders
- Radiant Day 3D Embossing Folder – Spellbinders
How to create the Ready to Roll Vacation Card:
Create the card Base:
Cut a panel of Breeze cardstock to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Trim the bottom portion from a second panel of Cosmic Sky cardstock and adhere it along the bottom edge of the Breeze panel to create the layered background. Emboss the completed panel using the Radiant Day 3D Embossing Folder, then attach it to the front of a top-folding A2-sized white card base.

Die Cut the Suitcase and furry friends:
Grab lots of colorful scraps from your stash to die cut the suitcase, accessories, and adorable critters. Our real-life suitcases are purple, so I just had to recreate that here, haha. I used Lavender and Lilac cardstock for the suitcase to create light and dark contrast, along with bits of white, black, cosmic sky, waterfall, rainforest, mulberry fawn and Tutu.
Assemble and adhere all the die-cut pieces together until your suitcase is packed full of vacation goodies and furry friends.
PRO-TIP: when die cutting the puppy’s heart-shaped glasses, save the tiny hearts from the center pieces to decorate the background of the card.
Use foam squares to attach the suitcase and critters to the center of the card, then use liquid glue to add the small hearts around the design.

Add the Sentiment:
Choose a sentiment from this month’s Clear Stamp and Die of the Month Burst of Summer. Stamp the sentiment onto white cardstock using black ink, then die cut it with the coordinating die. Attach it across the bottom of the card using foam squares for added dimension.
