Simon Says Stamp DieCember 2023

Hi card making friends, welcome back.  Tonight is the release of Simon Says Stamp DieCember 2023 a month long celebration of all things Die Cut.  They are starting off the month with a HUGE DIE RELEASE and I’m sharing a card using one of the dies.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.

SImon Says Stamp DieCember 2024

I got a little carried away with today’s card, haha.  It all started with the NEW Corner Pine Frame Die which is part of DieCember.  Then I dug through my “bought but not yet used pile”, and came up with a huge handful of other Simon Says Stamp Dies that I have not used yet.  So I added Berry Stems and Layered Songbird.  The Joy sentiment is also a die, and the background is embossed with the Pepperberry Bundle Embossing Folder (One of my all time fav’s).

How to create the Simon Says Stamp DieCember 2023 Card:

Start with a matt gold card front 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ attached to a top folding A2 sized card base.

Next, cut a piece of black 4″ x 5-1/4″, emboss with the Pepperberry Bundles Embossing Folder and attach to the center of the card front.

Then, Die cut the Corner Pine Frame from green cardstock.  Use a small blending brush and blend with Pine Needless Distress oxide Ink.  Cut off the frame from the top left to the bottom right before attaching it to the card.

Finally, use the Berry Stems dies, cutting out the pieces in mint, lime green and Kraft.  Ink blend with Evergreen Bough on the Minth, Pine Needles on the lime green and Brushed Corduroy on the Kraft.  Cut a bunch of berries in white and attach them to the Kraft branch.  When dry, color the base of the berries with the G00 copic marker, then add dots and a end with E35 copic.

Simon Says Stamp DieCember 2023 Card – Putting it together.

Start by gluing down the 3 large berry stems from the bottom left of the card.

Next, add the wide leaf branches, then the die cut bird.

Finally, add the small branches and berries under the birds butt.  Finish with a Gold on Black Joy sentiment and a bold bow.

Embellish with a few Stay Gold Sequins.
