Simon Says Stamp Layering Cosmos Stencil Cards

Hi cardmaking friends thanks so much for stopping in.  My share today is Simon Says Stamp Layering Cosmos Stencil Cards.  The layering Cosmos Stencil is new from the “Let’s Chill” release.  It’s a bit different in that the layers are all on one stencil that you move around compared to the sets of stencils in other kits where each layer is on a separate stencil.

These are super easy cards to create, the two of them took me about 30 minutes from start to finish.

I have linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post. If you find value in my posts and free PDF downloads, you can support my artistic journey by using the Compensated affiliate links at no cost to you.  As always, I appreciate your support.

I am using Simon Says Stamps new Pawsitively saturated ink pads for today’s projects.  It’s super easy to choose colors because they have a light, medium and dark ink pad for each of their colors.  I chose the light and the medium of each color I wanted to use, knowing that my colors would match perfectly.

Simon Says Stamp Layering Cosmos Stencil Cards Card #1

Start on the left side with Seafoam and Surf Ink blending through the two layers of flowers using the smaller Simon Says Stamp Blending Brushes.  Clean the stencil with a tissue

Next, move the stencil over and apply the yellow inks:  Lemonade and Sunbeam, again, clean the stencil.

And then, move the stencil again to the right adding the Cheeky and Peachy inks

Finally, repeat the blue and yellow flowers to complete the florals.

Switch to the Celery Ink to add the stems and leaves.

Layering Cosmos Card #2

Start by repeating the steps for the first two flowers and stencil them on the left side of the card front.

Next, for both cards, use a #05 fine tipped Zig pen to add black dots to the center of the florals

And then, place each card front into the Misti and stamp the sentiments in black ink.

Finally, attach the card fronts to card bases and add a strip of black and white patterned paper to each one.
