How to create the Spellbinders December Valentine’s Club Cards – Card #1

Start with the Card Base:
Create a top-folding A2-sized white card base.  layer a piece of Cranberry cardstock cut to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ over the front.

Emboss the Background:

Next, cut a piece of Waterfall cardstock 4″ x 5-1/4″, emboss it with the Unlock My Heart Embossing Folder and adhere it centered on the card base.

Die Cutting and Stitching Details:

Then, die cut all the elements for the design.  Stitch the pink hearts using gold DMC thread for a pretty metallic accent.  Assemble the pieces and attach the finished design to the card front with liquid glue and foam squares for added dimension.

Handmade Valentine’s card featuring two cute die-cut owls sitting side-by-side on a branch. One owl has a pink stitched heart body with a floral crown, and the other has a red stitched heart body with brown wings. Bright flowers and leaves decorate the branch beneath them. A white heart pattern is pressed into the aqua background, and the sentiment “you’re the one I want to annoy forever” is stamped on a black label at the top. Card is photographed with pink and green cardstock panels and leafy décor around the edges.

Card #2

Create the Card Base:
Begin with a top-folding A2-sized white card base.  Cut a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ panel of Seaside cardstock and use the December BetterPress Plate to Glimmer Hot foil the “I’d Pick You” heart design in the center with white foil.

Die Cutting the Owls:
Using the dies from the Small Die of the Month Club kit – Better Together, die-cut all the pieces for the two sweet owls along with the foliage accents.  Assemble the layers, then adhere the finished design over the foiled heart – center on the card front for the cutest little couple moment.

Add the Sentiment:
White glimmer foil the sentiments from the BetterPress Club onto black cardstock, and die-cut them all at once with the coordinating die.  Add your chosen sentiment to the top of the card with foam squares for a touch of dimension.
PS I made this one for my hubby, Ian,  – because yes, I absolutely annoy him daily….and he absolutely loves me anyway!, LOL
