Hey there, welcome back. Today I’m sharing a Spellbinders Sunflower Border Card. It’s created with the beautiful September Glimmer of the month Kit – “Sunflower Border”. Going for a little drama, and trying new colors of Glimmer Foil, I glimmer foiled this one in BLACK….and I love it.
PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.
This is also a fun image to color with it’s bright and cheery sunflowers. You can color these with watercolor, colored pencils, whatever you have on hand. I decided on a simple copic coloring.
How to create the Spellbinders Sunflower Border Card:
Start by Black Glimmer Foiling the image onto a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ hammermill white cardstock.
Next, use the border die to cut the top off. Color with Copic Markers
COPICS USED:
Yellows: Y11, Y15, Y17, Browns: YR 23, YR24, YR27, E57, E59, Greens: YG03, YG17
Then, attach a piece of Rainforest green 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ to a side folding A2 sized card base (turned to landscape) (card base 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ score and fold at 4-1/4″).
Finally, splatter with black and white acrylic paint.
Finishing off the Spellbinders Sunflower Border Card
Did you know that Spellbinders is now carrying ribbon & Twine? They have beautiful colors, a variety of widths and designs. Wrap the Vivant Black and White Cotton Twine around the bottom of the card 3 times, tying the knot under where the sentiment will go.
Next, White heat emboss the sentiment from the Fall Thoughtfulness Clear Stamp and Die Set, cut out with the coordinating die and use foam squares to attach it over the knot.
and you are finished. I love how bright and happy this card is and you could change out the sentiment for any celebration or event required.
