Spellbinders Sunny Stems Shaped Card

It’s the 6th of the month, and you know what that means –  NEW SPELLBINDERS Club Kits!  Whoo-whoo! I absolutely love happy mail day, and I’m kicking things off with the Spellbinders Sunny Stems Shaped Card,  created with the Small Die of the month – Sunny Stems.

This gorgeous die set features a fan-shaped design with layered overlays, so you can create a freestanding shaped card as I did – or simply attach it to a standard A2-sized card base for a different look.

And if you’re a floral die lover like me, you’re going to swoon, because this set also includes four beautiful flower designs so you can mix, match, and customize your card front to your heart’s content.

The card features five arched black panels outlined in pink, each decorated with layered die-cut flowers in pink with bright green stems and leaves. A curved center panel includes a white heat-embossed sentiment that reads “hope this card brightens your day.” The card is photographed upright with greenery in the foreground.

How to create the Spellbinders Sunny Stems Shaped Card:

1 – Create the Card Base

Start by using the large outline die, cut two fan-shaped panels from Dahlia-colored cardstock.
To form a top-folding shaped card, score a line about 1/2″ down from the top of the back panel.  Add a strip of red-line tape above the score line, then carefully line up and adhere the front panel in place.  This creates a sturdy, free-standing shaped card base.

2 – Die Cut the Fan Inserts

Next, use the smaller fan panel die to cut one full set from black cardstock.  These pieces will sit inside each arched section to create a bold contrast and really make the floral die cuts pop.

2 – Stamp and Add the Sentiment

Using the Best Year Sentiments set from the January Clear Stamp & Die of the Month, stamp your greeting onto the black half-circle panel at the bottom of the card and white heat emboss it for a crips finish.

Once the sentiment is done, attach all the black fan inserts to the pink card base using foam squares.  This adds subtle dimension and shadowing, giving the design extra depth and impact.

4 – Create the Floral Overlays

Now the fun part – FLOWERS!  Use the four floral die designs included in the Sunny Stems set to cut your stems, leaves and blooms.  I chose to repeat the same floral layout on the three side panels and feature the large trumpet flower in the center for a clean, cohesive look.  The symmetry keeps the design visually calm and intentional – not busy or cluttered.

With the January Launce, all of the Spellbinders Clubs for 2026 are now live, and they are packed with fresh designs, creative possibilities, and so much crafty inspiration.  Whether you love dies, embossing, BetterPress, Stitched, or stamps, there’s a club tailed for your style – and they all coordinate beautifully so you can mix and match across projects all year long.  I can’t wait to keep creating with these new releases and sharing more inspiration with you!

NOTE:  The name for the Caboodle has changed.  It’s now ALL-Clubs Crate.
