Spellbinders Color Block Landscape

Hi crafty friends and welcome back. Today’s card share is a Spellbinders Color Block Landscape card. This is the Small Die of the Month kit for June from Spellbinders and as usual, it’s FABULOUS.

Personal note – Clean Scan and my Oncologist called me “boring”, haha.

Ok, back to the card!

This amazing die set is configured to cut all the landscape elements for you. They fit together perfectly to create beautiful landscapes in which ever colors you envision.

I also used the starburst die from the set to create my sun with the sentiment in the middle stamped with the June Clear Stamp Set of the Month – Circles of Sunshine. They coordinate beautifully to make your cardmaking easy.

The Spellbinders Color Block Landscape Dies:

The dies are substantial and deeply etched to provide you with clean crisp cuts. They include the mountain stream scene, the sun and two types of branches along with the cactus.

How to Create the Spellbinders Color Block Landscape Card:

Use a top folding A2 sized card base to build on top of.

Next, die cut the mountains and water in your preferred colors and dry fit them onto the card front.

Cut the sunrays and sun center out of gold/yellow card and dry fit them also.

Place the sun circle into the Misti Stamping Tool (placing it inside the cut out piece helps), and stamp the sentiment in black from the Clear Stamp Set of the Month – Circles of Sunshine.

TIP – I found that using a pencil to outline the sun center made it really easy to glue this card down.

Use the Bearly Glue to glue down the sunburst rays around the top of the card

Then, glue the sun center of the center portion

Finally, starting at the bottom of the card, glue in the landscape pieces and your cactus.

Embellishing the Card:

This card is beautiful on it’s own and doesn’t really require embellishing, but, to add a bit of interest, I cut out some gold cactus and stacked them just slightly off center so the gold peaked out on the left side.

Finally, I added a few SB Fashion Gold Embellishments and the sun for a little bling.
