Spellbinders September Small Die Kit

Hi cardmaking friends, thanks for stopping in today.  I have a new card to share with you created with the Spellbinders September Small Die Kit of the Month.  The kit is called Layered Mix and Match Sentiments.  It includes a bunch of different sentiments and the shadow dies for behind them as well.

I’m using the Thank You dies for todays card and rainbowed them out in a  bunch of different colors.

 

How to create the Spellbinders September Small Die Kit of the Month Card:

Glimmer Foil the background using the Skinny Stripe Background plate and Polished Brass Foil

Next, die cut the sentiment 5 times in complimentary colors

Use Bearly Art glue to attach the sentiments down the panel.

Die cut the two layered floral dies to cut flowers in the same colors

Attach them across the center of two lines near the top and add gems to the center

Finally, fill in the two remaining lines with cut out leaves.

Using up your Scrap Bin:

This style of card is a great way to use up those small scraps of cardstock you have been hoarding.  LOL yes I know you hoard them, because I do too.

TIP – When I get out my Glimmer Foil Machine, I cut a bunch of different colored card stock and foil it.

This creates a nice stash of backgrounds for me when I’m in a hurry to get a card finished, or I just don’t feel like setting up the foiling machine.
