Spellbinders October Small Die Kit

Hey cardmaking friends and welcome back.  Today I have two cards to share with you created with the NEW Spellbinders October Small Die Kit.  This one is called Holiday Haul, and you will see, for a very good reason, LOL……This set has a total of 14 dies in it with a Fall/Winter theme.

I have also combined the Clear Stamp Set/Die of the month for my sentiments on todays cards.

Fall Haul Card:

My cousin Ernie had a vintage truck just like this one, so I created this in his memory.  I think it’s going to be a blast creating these little trucks in a bunch of different colors.

Start by embossing the background with the Falling Leaves embossing folder to start the fall feel to your card.

Use Mermaid Markers to water colored paper in reds, greens and a mix of orange/yellow .  The Mermaid Markers are water brushes with mixed watercolor ink already inside them, ready to go.  So no water, no mess, just paint with them for great results.  AND, THEY ARE ON SALE THIS WEEK.

Use  mirror silver cardstock, black and white cardstock to cut all the pieces needed to create the truck and background.

For the truck rails, cut again from watercolor paper and give them a brown wash.  I also cut them again from the silver mirror, to add the little nails (yes, I know, I’m wack, haha).

The brown piece is also good for the step of the pumpkins.

Use the Misti Stamping Tool to stamp the sentiments and the coordinating die to cut the large one out.

Finally, assemble the pieces and attach to the card front.

The second card is much quicker – yeah right?  haha.  same embossed background.

Next, cut the sweet pumpkin out three times from a orange and yellow water colored piece.

Cut 3 stems from brown and 3 leaves from green.

add phone squares to the back and attach to the card front.

Add a sentiment using the Clear Stamp Set of the Month

Finally, embellish with a few Color Essentials Gems in Teal to match the card base.
