Hi card making friends and welcome back. Today I’m sharing a new Spellbinders Stitched Ornament card with you created with this amazing etched die set new this month from Spellbinders.
It’s such a pretty shape and once you have it stitched you can add the gold die cut overlays, and it even comes with two dies to create the branch it’s hanging from. I’m looking forward to doing this stitched die in a variety of different colors. It was quick and easy to stitch, took me about an hour which I didn’t think was too bad at all.
The Spellbinders Stitched Ornament is part of the July 2022 Holiday Collections which is full of winter/Christmas fun. Many, beautiful new die sets to chose from and you know it’s never to early to start your holiday cards.

Also new this June, is the Dazzling Dots Embossing Folder I used for the background. It’s one of the large embossing folders that you can use for a variety of different card sizes.
How to create the Spellbinders Stitched Ornament Card:
First, start by die cutting the ornament from Pink Sand cardstock and then stitch the image with DMC Cotton #605.
Next, die cut the overlays from mirror gold cardstock and use Bearly Art Glue with the fine tip to attach to the ornament.
Cut a white card front 4 x 5-1/4, place inside the Dazzling Dots embossing folder and run it through the die cutting machine
Finally, cut a Peridot green card front 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 and attach it to the front of an A2 sized white card base.
Putting the card together:
Attached the white embossed panel to the card front using 1/4″ scor tape so that you don’t flatten the embossing.
Next, use foam squares to attach the ornament to the center of the card.
Then, die cut the two branch dies from the Peridot card stock and use Bearly Art Glue to attach them to the top of the card.
Finally, embellish with some Fashion Gold embellishments.
There are a couple of other new Stitched Items in this release that I’m working with and I’ll share those soon.
Dazzling Dots Embossing Folder is from the Celebrate the Season Collection embosses a full background design of these dotted diamonds to any card size from A2, Slimline, to A7 formats. Add texture and dimension to your surface or apply ink on one side of the folder for a letter press effect. Swipe ink across the raised embossed area to highlight its design.
Approximate Size: 8.50 x 5.50 in./21.60 x 13.97 cm

This is gorgeous Sandi! I love the pink and gold with the pops of green. So unusual and fun for a Christmas card. I always enjoy non traditional colours but you managed to include the gold aswell which is beautiful.
thank you Lisa. Before I was married I had all Pink, green and gold ornaments, so it’s a blast from the past for me.
