The cards I’m sharing today are Alex Syberia Designs’ Charming Floral Background Cards. This is a BetterPress Plate set with a matching 5-sheet layered Stencil set. It’s so easy to make stunning cards with these two products.

These beautiful BetterPress plates make amazing cards, and they are so very easy to use. Use them for your card backgrounds, or make them the star of the show by adding a simple sentiment. Either way, you will end up with beautiful, professional-looking cards.

As promised, I will circle back next week to do a video on these cards.  The 3 hops are so close together this week I have not had time to get this one done, but there is a new video coming on March 30th, with 8 more cards, so stay tuned.

Alex Syberia Designs Charming Floral Background Cards Card 1 – Glimmer Foiled.

Start by using the BetterPress Charming Floral Background plate in the Glimmer Hot Foil Machine and Glimmer foil it in black onto a piece of Hammermill White Cardstock.  You can also use black ink and BetterPress if you like.  I find I get better coverage foiling.

PRO TIP: I find that hammermill takes the foil the best, especially with the dark colors.

Next, use the 5 stencils, ink pads, and blending brushes to add the colors to the panel. What’s really cool about this stencil set is that it leaves some white spaces, highlighting the florals’ beauty.

Then, mount the panel to a top folding A2 sized white card base.

Finally, using white glimmer foil and black cardstock, foil the Classic Sentiments BetterPress plate and die cut the sentiments with the coordinating die.  Add one to the bottom of the card.

I loved the floral aspect of this card so much, and the amazing stenciling, that I didn’t want to cover up anymore of it, so – just a sentiment.

Alex Syberia Designs Charming Floral Background Cards Card 2 – Glimmer Foiled on Watercolor Paper treated with Lindy’s Magicals.

So, maybe you don’t have time to stencil 5 layers, you don’t want to or you don’t like stenciling, LOL.  You could also color in the images if you like, or, for a super quick and easy card, Gold Foil the image over a premade colored panel.  My Video on March 30th covers this in detail.

I grabbed a panel from my stash that was colored with the Lindy’s magical powders and used Polished Brass Glimmer hot foil with the Charming Floral Background plate.  That’s it.  Instant beautiful card….doesn’t get any easier.

Next, just cut the panel down to A2 size, 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″, mount it to a card base and add a sentiment.  DONE.
