While sharing cards over the past few days, I have had a lot of questions about my Lindy’s Magicals Background papers that I have used with the New BetterPress Plates from Alex Syberia Designs. So, I made a video on how I play and combine colors to create them. Then, I made a second video where I show you 5 different ways to use your Press Plates and created some cards with the various techniques and the background papers. There are 8 samples in all shared at the end of the video

5 Ways to use BetterPress Plates – card Instructions.

I’m not going to breakdown each card as I do that in the video, so here’s the basics.

All cards are A2, and have a white top folding card base 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″

Canson Watercolor paper was used for the Lindy’s Magicals. I find that watercolor paper works best for these pigments and I share lots of tips about that in the video.

5 Ways to use BetterPress Plates- Embossing with BetterPress Plates:

This techniques gives you a third option for your plates after pressing and glimmer foiling. It also creates breathtaking backgrounds

Embossing colored cardstock also creates beautiful textures to create some background noise for your copic colored images.

Copics Used:
Violet: V09, V12, V15, V17 – blues: B21, B37, B45 Green YG03

5 Ways to use BetterPress Plates – Glimmer Foiling

When Glimmer Hot Foiling with your BetterPress Plates, don’t forget to use the positive and the negative pieces to create awesome tone-on-tone and reverse-tone-on-tone cards.
