Alex Syberia Designs Spring Meadow Card

Hi card-making friends, welcome back!  I’m excited to share an Alex Syberia Designs Spring Meadow Card with you today. The Spring Meadow suite of products is from her latest release. It features a background die, individual dies, and a stencil set that all come together to create one fabulous card.
I won’t lie; making this card took some time.  But it was an enjoyable afternoon spent ink blending the pieces and layering them on the base to form the beautiful image.

How to create the Alex Syberia Designs Spring Meadow Card.

Note:  All the inks I used today are from Simon Says Stamp.  This is the perfect project to use the ink cubes on, as each set has a light, medium, and dark ink, allowing you to easily add layers of colors to your project.  I like the soft subtle colors on this card, unlike me, I know, but hey, we can all change it up sometimes, right?

Start by die cutting the Spring Meadow Die in white.  This will be your base on which you build on.  One of the stencils covers all the background leaves, and I stenciled those in Limelicious, Tropic, and Sunbeam ink.

Next, use the Cheerful Meadow Die set to die cut all the pieces for the overlays.

  • Inks Used:
    Bunnies:  Flannel and Bubblegum
  • Butterfly:  Lemonade, Sunbeam, Citrine, Melon, Cantaloupe
  • Bird:  Marine and Cadette
  • Ladybug and Flower Centers:  Carnation, Peony, and Rose
  • Flowers:  Lemonade, Sunbeam, Marine, Heather

Putting the card together:

Once you have all the pieces ink-blended and glued together, use small pieces of foam squares to attach them over the base.

Next, to create the card base, I attached a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Spellbinders Breeze Cardstock to a side-folding A2 card base.  Then I used liquid glue to attach the Spring Meadow panel to the card.

Finally, I embellished the background with clear gems.  I decided not to add a sentiment to the front, placing it inside instead.
