Hey cardmaking friends! 👋 Today I’m excited to share a brand-new Hero Arts Boo to You Halloween Card. It’s NEW RELEASE day over at Hero Arts, and they’ve launched not one but two fabulous collections — The Very Merry Collection and the Hocus Pocus Collection. These adorable little goblins are from the Hocus Pocus release, and I couldn’t resist creating with them.
My inspiration for today’s card came from my talented friend, Alli Frazier, who recently shared a spooktacular design on Instagram. Her card reminded me of the Sentiment Strips Fancy Die from Hero Arts — perfect for sentiments, but also amazing for creating colorful striped backgrounds. Thanks, Alli, for the creative nudge!

Products used for the Hero Arts Boo To You Halloween Card:
- New, Boo To You Die Set – Hero Arts
- Scattered Stars Stencil – Hero Arts
- Sentiment Strips Fancy Die – Hero Arts
- White Hero Paste
- Palette Knife
- Arches Infinity Dies

How to create the Hero Arts Boo to You Halloween Card:
Start by die cutting 5 – 6 different colors of cardstock using the Sentiment Strips Fancy Die. This will give you the strips you need to create the background.
Next, cut a piece of Altenew Double-Sided Adhesive sheet, to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Peel back a small section of the backing and start laying down the strips, working your way up until the entire adhesive sheet is covered.
Once complete, remove the remaining backing and adhere the striped panel to the front of an A2-top folding white card base. (4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″).
That completes the background – now set the card base aside and let’s move on to creating the focal art pieces.

Create the Arch Background:
Die cut two arches using the Arches Infinity Dies – one from black cardstock and one from white.
Next, place the black one down on a protected work surface. Using the Scattered Stars Stencil, apply White Hero Paste through the small stars with a palette knife. Set the piece aside to dry, and be sure to wash the stencil and knife immediately to prevent buildup.
Finally, once the past is dry, Layer the black arch over the white one and adhere them to the center of the card front using foam tape for added dimension.

Cutting the art pieces for the Hero Arts Boo To You Halloween Card:
Start by using the NEW Boo to You Die Set – from today’s Hocus Pocus Release – to die cut the three goblins, the broom and the hat.
Assemble the pieces and adhere them to the card front, using a mix of foam squares and white liquid glue to create depth and dimension.

With today’s two releases, Hero Arts has a new special up. receive $25.00 off your $125.00+ orders.
