Sandi MacIver – Papercraft Artist – Nuvo Shimmer Powder and Woodware Bird on a Branch
Today I’m sharing a bunch of cards I created with Woodware Stamps I received from Craft Stash in the UK. Craft Stash is an online store where you can order supplies from a variety of companies and they ship them all to you in one box, one shipping fee. They will also give you a 20% Discount on your entire first order when you sign up for their newsletter and FREE shipping on orders over a specific amount per country.
I’m all over free shipping, haha, and my order came very fast as well ( I live in Canada). Even more fun, they have access to stamps I have not seen before…like the Woodware stamps I’m creating with today.
Have you ever created a Collage Card – and it took hours? Hunting down just the right stamps in the right sizes, using a stamp positioner to stamp them all, and then having to clean them all afterwards? Yep, that was fun – but guess what, I don’t have time for that anymore. I created these backgrounds and stamped them all in the time it would take to do one collage card the old way. That’s because one of these Woodware stamps, has all of the images included in one stamp. Cool right?
For today’s cards I’m also playing with a new to me product – Nuvo Shimmer Powder. This Stuff is amazing! Unique combinations of shimmering mica powder and a vibrant dry pigment. The powders are available in four bold block colors and four multi colours and are activated by water.
I share a video below showing you just one of the many techniques you can use with these powders and I created a variety of different coloured backgrounds to share with you today.
Beautiful vibrant colours and you can even create your own hues by combining the colours. Here’s a quick video showing you my technique.
Cool technique right? and for the card instructions, please click the button below to download/print a FREE PDF for today’s card. You can also visit my FREE PDF Gallery for more fun card ideas.
Why not treat yourself with a little trip across the pond to Craft Stash and get yourself a couple of these awesome stamps.
